The donor has clinical features of severe growth retardation, mental retardation, microphthalmia, spasticity of upper and lower extremities, and peripheral neuropathy. The biopsy was taken ante-mortem on 10/30/81 from skin of the left peroneal region. The culture was initiated using explants of minced tissue. The karyotype is 46,XX; normal diploid female.
